Use Claude for work and Cowork for marketing operations
A repeatable weekly campaign review built from approved source files.
Bring these inputs
Read-only exports, campaign naming rules and a sample report. Confirm your account’s available connectors and permissions.
Tools for this exercise
Claude for work is an umbrella learning/use-case label; Cowork is the task-oriented product covered here.
Work through it, step by step
Use Claude chat to explore a question. Use Cowork when the task needs a sequence of file or connected-app actions and a reviewable deliverable.
Prepare a project folder with redacted campaign exports, metric definitions and a reporting template. Specify which sources are authoritative.
Ask Cowork to inspect the inputs, surface missing periods or mismatched definitions, and propose a plan before producing the report.
Review every total against the source. Save the workflow instructions only after the first run is correct; automate recurring work only within approved access.
A prompt you can reuse
Replace the brackets with your real context. Remove personal or confidential data unless you have permission and an appropriate workspace.
Using only [approved sources], prepare our weekly marketing review for [date range]. Reconcile spend, qualified leads and bookings. Cite the file and row or report behind every number. Separate facts from hypotheses. Draft three decisions and a list of missing data. Do not send messages or edit campaigns.
Example in practice
A search-term export becomes a proposed exclusions list for human review, with the reason and source row for each suggestion.
Human review checkpoint
Confirm time zones, attribution windows and duplicate records. Connector availability varies; never assume the assistant accessed a source it cannot show.
Your finished deliverable
A repeatable weekly campaign review built from approved source files. Save the source material, your draft, the corrections you made and the next decision. Ask a colleague to explain what the work recommends; if they cannot, simplify it before moving on.
- Evidence and assumptions are clearly separated.
- The output matches the brief and has an accountable owner.
- Facts, links, accessibility and relevant permissions have been checked.
- The next step has a metric or observable acceptance criterion.
